Luxury vinyl flooring that has a WPC or SPC rigid core is waterproof. A wood plastic composite core contains wood byproducts, while the primary component in a stone plastic composite core is limestone. LVP and LVT with a rigid core do not change structurally if saturated in water for an extended period. SPC flooring comes very close to being indestructible, and WPC flooring is also durable. Vinyl flooring that has an SPC core feels similar to hardwood or tile material. A WPC core contains a foaming agent, so planks and tiles feel softer underfoot than SPC flooring.
